These terms cover use of the VL.MR collection site. A playable release may include additional third-party component notices and project-specific terms.
Acceptable use
You may browse the collection, use its documentation, and run available releases for lawful personal use. Do not use the site to distribute copyrighted game files, attack the service, interfere with other visitors, automate fraudulent advertising activity, or manipulate rankings.
Optional accounts
You may play and view public rankings without an account. Submitting a competitive leaderboard time requires a free VL.MR account. Keep access to the connected Discord identity secure and do not impersonate another person, claim a player identity that is not yours, evade an account restriction, or use a profile name, handle, or bio to harass others or publish unlawful material.
VL.MR may remove profile content, unlink records, suspend sessions, or close accounts when reasonably necessary to protect visitors, rankings, the service, or third-party rights. You may export and delete the account from the Profile channel.
Community conduct
Community messages must not contain harassment, threats, unlawful material, piracy links, spam, impersonation, private information, malicious instructions, or attempts to bypass service limits. Messages are public and may be removed when reasonably necessary for moderation, safety, service integrity, or third-party rights.
Private betas
Beta access is personal, free, limited, and may be approved or revoked at the maintainer’s discretion. Do not share restricted builds, attempt to bypass access checks, or use a beta to distribute commercial game data. Tester badges recognize participation but do not create ownership, employment, payment, or guaranteed future access.
VLMR Signal
VLMR Signal is currently an interest list for a possible future supporter membership. Joining is not a purchase or promise of benefits. If paid membership launches, separate pricing, cancellation, and payment terms will be presented before payment.
Original media
You are responsible for confirming that making and using a local backup is permitted where you live. Purchasing a physical copy does not necessarily authorize every form of copying or circumvention. VL.MR does not grant rights to commercial games, characters, music, artwork, trademarks, console firmware, or encryption material, and it does not provide download links for them.
Compatibility research
VLMR labs are intended to study independently developed browser interfaces and interoperability. A lab must not include third-party game data or branding unless written permission or a clearly applicable license has been documented. Access controls and neutral naming do not replace permission or make an otherwise infringing use lawful.
Project software
VL.MR’s project-specific code and materials remain reserved unless an accompanying notice says otherwise. Third-party components remain governed by their own licenses.
No affiliation
VL.MR is an unofficial independent project. It is not endorsed by or affiliated with the publishers, developers, platform holders, or trademark owners represented in the catalog.
Service availability
The site and runtimes are provided as available without warranties. Features may change, fail, or be withdrawn, and compatibility can vary by device, browser, controller, and source media.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the catalog grows. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply.
